Prism Path

About Prism Path

Prism Path is a light-bending logic puzzle with 20 levels. Flip the mirrors on the board to steer a single beam through every crystal. Each tap changes the whole route, so one mirror can make or break the path.

How to play

  1. Tap or click a mirror to flip it between its two angles.
  2. The beam enters from the arrow on the left edge and bounces off every mirror it meets.
  3. Rocks stop the beam completely, so route it around them.
  4. Light every crystal at the same time to clear the level.

Levels and board sizes

The 20 levels come in four groups of five. Levels 1 to 5 use a 5×5 board, levels 6 to 10 use 6×6, levels 11 to 15 use 7×7, and levels 16 to 20 use 8×8. The route needs three turns on the first level and ten on the last, and more crystals appear along the way.

Trace the beam from the start

The beam only cares about the mirrors it reaches, so work forward from the arrow. Fix the first mirror, follow the line to the next one, and carry on. A flip early in the route moves everything after it, which makes it easier to settle the early mirrors before you touch the later ones.

Work back from the crystals

When you get stuck, start at a crystal instead. Ask which row or column the beam has to travel along to pass through it, then look for a mirror on that line. Crystals do not block light, so a single straight stretch can light several of them at once.

Spot the decoy mirrors

From level 4 onward some mirrors are decoys that the correct route never touches, and from level 3 rocks start to appear. If a mirror sits far from every crystal, it may be one of these, so try the mirrors closer to the beam first. There is no move limit, so flipping a mirror to see what happens costs nothing. Press Reset to return a level to its starting position.
